Cleaning Operative

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team at MTC Ansty in Coventry. This role is key to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• General cleaning of office and communal areas, including desks, floors, kitchens, and washrooms
• Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces
• Waste collection and disposal in line with site procedures
• Replenishing consumables such as soap and paper towels
• Ensuring cleaning equipment is used safely and stored correctly
• Following COSHH regulations and site health & safety procedures
• Reporting maintenance issues or hazards promptly
• Supporting additional cleaning duties during event evenings

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a commercial environment
• Good knowledge of cleaning products and methods
• Understanding of COSHH regulations
• Awareness of Health & Safety practices in the workplace
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, particularly during events

Additional Requirements Due to limited public transport availability during evening hours, applicants must have a reliable means of travelling to and from the site.

Desirable Skills

• Experience cleaning in high-traffic or event environments
• Knowledge of infection control procedures
• Experience using professional cleaning equipment
