Description
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to join our team at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. The successful candidate will be highly skilled in supporting complex surgical procedures, maintaining the highest standards of sterile technique, and working collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and the entire surgical team.
Responsibilities:
- Support system-wide surgical operations and safety plans
- Ensure sterilization criteria are met and maintain a sterile, safe environment
- Prepare the operating room and instruments, assist with sterile processing, and support surgeons within the ORT scope of practice
- Identify and respond to emergency situations, assist with room turnover and cleaning
- Participate in training and mentoring, providing at least one educational offering per year
- Perform as either a specialty leader or clinical expert
Requirements:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers certification
- Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program, or equivalent experience
- Competent in Level III or IV Cases in high acuity specialty areas
- Able to take assigned specialty call in Level II Trauma Facility or Quaternary Center
- Must be in good standing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Surgical Technologist with 2+ years of experience
- Surgical Technologist with proficiency scrubbing into high acuity cases such as Neuro, Cardiovascular, Transplants, and Trauma
- Active National Certification as an OR Tech in Surgery or Certified Surgical Technologist
