Product Manager

About the Role

Product Managers at Mixpanel build valuable products for customers by focusing engineering and design teams on the problems that matter most.

Responsibilities

• Use insights from customer conversations and Mixpanel's own product data to shape strategy and direction for your product area
• Align engineering and design teams on the right problems with clear, written communication
• Work closely with engineering and design to experiment with and ship new capabilities
• Tell a clear story about what you've shipped - to internal and external audiences - that leads with the customer problem, articulates why it matters, and uses customer stories to make the value tangible
• Prioritize ruthlessly across a long list of possible bets, balancing customer impact, business value, and team capacity
• Define and track the metrics that tell you whether what you shipped actually worked, and course-correct when it didn't
• Align engineering, design, sales, marketing, and support around a shared roadmap and set of priorities
• Stay close to the market and competitive landscape to help inform where Mixpanel should invest next
• Help shape the product function at Mixpanel: what it's responsible for, how it interfaces with other teams and how it'll develop over time

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

• 3-5 years of hands-on product management experience
• Experience doing user research and working with customers to test product hypotheses
• An ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative signals to drive clarity on what to build
• A track record of developing, articulating, and executing on product strategies
• Experience using AI tools in product management workflows (e.g., competitive research, prototyping)

Bonus Points For

• Experience using Mixpanel as an end customer
• Experience writing production-grade software
• Experience designing products using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Abstract

Compensation

The total target cash compensation (TTCC) for this role is $175,000-$210,000 USD, and includes base compensation and variable compensation in the form of either a company bonus or commissions.
