Development Manager - EA Sports FC

Electronic Arts is seeking a Development Manager to join the EA SPORTS FC team in Vancouver. As a Development Manager, you will oversee the delivery of game features and assets, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

The EA SPORTS FC team is a global community of developers who create leading-edge content for multiple platforms. The team works hybrid, with 3 days onsite at EA Vancouver.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a development team consisting of artists, software engineers, and external partners.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, provide management escalation, project prioritization, and make trade-offs.
• Focus on the immediate team, identifying team issues and suggesting solutions.
• Ensure each project setup meets studio specifications, with regular status reporting and capacity plan updates.
• Establish engagement processes using Jira to ensure clear workflows and trained staff.
• Partner with Production, QV, and Art Directors to meet game quality targets.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of project management or project lead experience with production lifecycles and processes.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, game development, or business.
• Experience in a Scrum/Agile software development environment.
• Proven track record using Jira and Jaas to manage concurrent projects.
• Experience working with expansive teams, mediation, and conflict resolution.
• Experience managing outsource vendors and remote teams is an asset.
