Digital Architect

Prudential is seeking a Digital Architect to envision and develop the long-term architectural direction, with emphasis on platforms and product reusable components.

The successful candidate will formulate the PACS Infrastructure policy, framework, and design, and build future-state architecture to encompass business strategy with design considerations of convergence, modernization, cost efficiency, business functionality, interpretability, cloud-native design, resilience, security, and future-proofing.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying and evaluating alternative design options and trade-offs to handle both functional and non-functional requirements
• Recommending designs that consider current applications and architecture, operating models, and end-target state architecture
• Leading the preparation of detailed design specifications to form the basis for development and modification of applications
• Defining integration patterns
• Ensuring adoption and implementation of defined solutions
• Providing technical expertise to enable application design and iteration
• Collaborating with other Technology and Digital teams to develop and agree on system integration plans and review progress

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as an Architecture leader with overall experience between 7-10 years
• Demonstrated ability to understand business strategy and processes and their successful translation into technology solutions
• Experience with cloud engineering, SRE (preferably Azure)
• Hands-on experience with software development and system administration
• Excellent knowledge of technical architecture and modern design patterns, including microservices, serverless functions, data, and AI
• Deep End-to-End Architecture understanding
• Experience with streaming technology or frameworks
• Familiarity with one or more Architecture Frameworks (e.g., TOGAF)
• Good understanding of DevOps
