CoreWeave is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their team in Chester, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining data center operations, conducting hardware and network diagnostics, and performing repairs.
The Data Center Operations team is at the physical core of CoreWeave's business, responsible for building, maintaining, and operating the cutting-edge infrastructure that powers the cloud. This team ensures the stability, security, and scalability of physical assets, working hands-on in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability
- Conducting hardware and network diagnostics and repairs
- Performing root cause analysis of hardware and software failures
- Training internal teams
- Developing documentation
- Providing technical support to data center teams
- Developing scripts to update server and networking hardware
- Maintaining inventory
- Assembling and installing equipment
- Performing maintenance of test and tool equipment
- Traveling up to 10% of the time to other data center locations as required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Computer hardware experience, including troubleshooting and assembling
- Linux Operating System experience
- Ability to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods
- Ability to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces
- Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment
Preferred qualifications include:
- Hands-on or education-based experience with computer hardware, data center operations, computer networking, or scripting languages
- Experience with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
- An Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field
