UI Technical Artist - EA Sports NHL

Electronic Arts creates higher levels of entertainment, inspiring players and fans worldwide. The EA SPORTS NHL team, located in Vancouver, British Columbia, is looking for a UI Technical Artist to join their team.

The NHL Technical Art Team pushes visual boundaries and experiences for players. As a UI / Frontend Technical Artist, you will play a critical role in advancing how teams deliver world-class user interfaces. You will bridge the gap between creative vision and technical execution, supporting the delivery of frontend features at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Develop modern workflows and custom artist-facing tools to guarantee consistency, reliability, and speed for the UI team.
• Own the health of the UI asset pipeline, collaborating with UI engineers, layout designers, and art leads.
• Ensure user interfaces remain fluid, responsive, beautiful, and performant across all target platforms.

Qualifications:

• At least 5+ years of games production experience.
• A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field.
• Effective communication with different audiences: artists, engineers, managers.
• Familiarity with DCC tools like Photoshop, Cinema4D, and Figma.
• Proficiency in visual or textual scripting/programming (C++ is a bonus but not required).
• Experience with asset optimization challenges/techniques.
• Willingness to jump into the unknown and solve new problems.
• Proficiency with commercial game engines/editors like Unity/Unreal and their UI Systems is a plus.
• Experience in utilizing AI-assisted development tools.
