Description
SpaceXAI is building one of the world's largest AI training campuses in Memphis, including Colossus and supporting facilities. As a Facilities Supervisor, you will lead a team of technicians and specialists for an assigned area of the campus, including office and support buildings, site infrastructure, and grounds.
Your leadership will ensure work orders are completed, preventive maintenance is on schedule, and building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general repair) are in working order. You may also oversee soft services like trash, landscaping, and pest control.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a high-performing team handling facilities maintenance for an assigned campus area, including general maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and janitorial services.
- Prioritize and manage day-to-day work orders and preventive maintenance.
- Manage third-party vendors to enforce corporate standards and optimize contracts.
- Oversee maintenance, repairs, and installations across assigned buildings and grounds.
- Design and execute a proactive preventive maintenance program.
- Monitor small construction and site-improvement work.
- Coach and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
- Prioritize tasks dynamically and drive continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 3+ years of professional experience with facilities maintenance or facilities management.
- 1+ years of experience leading a team or project.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
- Proven vendor management skills.
- Expertise with work-order management software and building systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Hands-on background as a technician or tradesperson.
Additional Requirements:
- Based at the Memphis, TN campus.
- Ability to provide 24/7 on-call support for emergencies.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and non-standard schedules.
