This is a high-impact regional leadership opportunity within the world's leading insurance broker and risk advisor. You will define and accelerate Marsh's Affinity strategy across Asia, partnering with country leadership, international teams, and functional specialists across a diverse set of markets.
Responsibilities:
- Regional strategy and leadership:
+ Lead the development and execution of Marsh's non-auto Affinity strategy across Asia. + Shape the regional growth agenda across key Asian markets. + Work closely with country leaders and regional stakeholders to define market priorities and execution plans. + Help the Affinity team bring a strong perspective on market trends, client risk challenges, and emerging regulatory requirements. + Build a clear strategic roadmap for growth and market share expansion.
- Business development and market expansion:
+ Identify, prioritize, and lead new business development opportunities across Asia. + Originate and lead strategic client and prospect engagements. + Build and maintain senior-level relationships with clients, prospects, insurers, reinsurers, and key market participants. + Assess market attractiveness, competitive positioning, and sector opportunities. + Represent Marsh at industry events, client forums, and relevant market engagements.
- Client solutions, product innovation, and execution:
+ Develop and enhance innovative risk advisory and insurance solutions. + Partner with country teams, placement, underwriting, analytics, digital, and technology stakeholders to build integrated solutions. + Support major regional and local clients with specialist expertise and strategic guidance. + Lead the development of digital-enabled and data-driven solutions. + Promote the use of analytics, reporting, and performance insights. + Negotiate with insurance and reinsurance markets to secure competitive capacity, pricing, and terms.
- Matrix leadership and regional collaboration:
+ Influence and coordinate a matrix of country leaders, segment specialists, and functional teams. + Support country leadership and local teams on segment opportunities and client needs. + Foster collaboration across Marsh specialties. + Align Asia segment priorities with international and global account needs. + Lead education, capability-building, and knowledge-sharing efforts.
- Financial, governance, and operational management:
+ Develop and manage the regional business plan and budget. + Monitor pipeline, revenue performance, account profitability, and overall segment health. + Help design scalable governance, operating frameworks, and execution standards. + Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with contractual requirements and regulatory expectations.
- People and leadership impact:
+ Lead, coach, and influence colleagues across a diverse regional environment. + Promote a strong leadership culture focused on collaboration, accountability, innovation, and execution excellence. + Mentor colleagues and help raise the overall capability of the business. + Operate with resilience, independence, and sound judgment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant experience in risk advisory, insurance brokerage, client solutions, partnerships, or product and service distribution within the insurance and financial services ecosystem.
- Strong regional experience across Asia, with demonstrated success working across multiple markets.
- Proven track record in new business development, strategic planning, and leadership of client and partner relationships.
- Strong understanding of insurance distribution, underwriting, placement dynamics, and insurer/reinsurer engagement.
- Experience developing go-to-market strategies, propositions, and scalable solutions.
- Ability to lead through influence in a matrixed regional organization.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
