Description

We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team at Atrium Health Rehabilitation Cleveland and Kings Mountain. This is a PRN position for both Outpatient and Acute Care opportunities.

Atrium Health Rehabilitation Cleveland and Kings Mountain, part of Advocate Health, is located in Cleveland Country, North Carolina. We offer a comprehensive range of outpatient rehabilitation services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Our rehabilitation services cater to various conditions such as musculoskeletal injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, pediatrics, pelvic health, and lymphedema. Our facility also provides innovative therapies like aquatic rehabilitation, cancer rehabilitation, and vestibular rehabilitation.

Essential Functions:

  • Evaluate patients and establish appropriate patient care plans
  • Gather and interpret data from medical records, physician reports, and patients/families
  • Document evaluations, tests, progress notes, and discharge notes
  • Re-evaluate patients as needed and modify goals and treatment plans
  • Communicate patient evaluations and progress to physicians, referral sources, and clinical staff
  • Provide patient and family education on deficits, progress, and therapeutic techniques
  • Direct and supervise activities of Physical Therapist Assistants, Technicians, students, and volunteers

Physical Requirements:

  • Hearing and vision adequate for communication and reading
  • Intelligible speech and adequate language/cognitive skills
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, kneel, twist, bend, crouch, crawl, and reach overhead
  • Lifting of patients, equipment, or supplies up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to laterally transfer patients up to 100 pounds

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Applicable state license for Physical Therapy
  • CPR Certification and BLS required
