Description
We are seeking a Presales Consultant to join our team. As a Presales Consultant, you will primarily work from an HPE office and be responsible for developing, configuring, debugging, and presenting optimized Proof of Concept test configurations in response to HPE-defined solution architectures or customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, configure, debug and present optimized Proof of Concept test configurations
- Provide consultative support for sales teams and customers to ensure Proof of Concept test plans are correctly designed
- Present test methodologies and results to customers
- Work with peers and Specialist teams to define, develop and present Reference Test Plans
- Participate in the review, negotiation, and approval of proof-of-concept test plans
- Manage POC staging time and lead proof-of-concept visits
- Follow all POC and Lab procedures
- Achieve and maintain Expert Level certification in the selected technology area
Qualifications:
- BS in engineering/computer science/telecommunications
- 8-10 years of experience in the networking industry
- Direct customer experience
- Advanced knowledge of test plan methodologies
- Excellent presentation and technical writing skills
- Knowledge and experience of network design solutions
Skills:
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge and experience of Traffic Generator tools, BreakingPoint, IxLOAD, Cyperf and IxNetwork
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems (Red Hat/CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Knowledge and experience in key technology areas: Stateful firewalling, Advanced NAT concepts, IPSEC VPN, L7 security concepts, Service Provider security solutions, Data Center
