They can treat a variety of addictions and mental health conditions, including alcohol and drug recovery services, and treatment for depression. They can also offer private autism assessments for adults, as well as an autism psychological support pathway for adults who have been diagnosed with autism. In addition, they can offer access to specialist eating disorder treatment at nearby Life Works.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist (Visiting Consultant), you will play a key part in patients' recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of patients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as Consultant and Responsible Clinician, leading patient care planning and multidisciplinary collaboration across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Assessing and managing complex cases, chairing MDT/CPA meetings, and liaising with patients, families, and external stakeholders.
  • Contributing to governance and quality improvement through active participation in ward, CAMHS, and service development meetings.
  • Engaging in academic activities including teaching, case presentations, audit, research, and ongoing professional development.

The successful candidate will be GMC-registered and able to provide proof when needed. You must be confident using evidence-based, patient-centred practice and take part in a non-residential second on-call rota.

Benefits include:

  • Clinical freedom – controlling your caseload, hours, and treatment plans
  • Team connection – working independently with full clinical governance and peer support
  • Steady patient flow – referrals come via the national brand, GP networks, and online presence
  • Admin support – handling bookings, billing, and secretarial support
  • Established reputation – being part of a brand trusted by patients, insurers, and clinicians for 30+ years
