Description

Scale's public sector business focuses on providing American commercial technology and innovation to protect the homeland. As an Engagement Manager, you will own critical relationships with clients responsible for layered defense for the United States, driving change, and managing customer relationships and partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Own customer relationships across accounts, from senior government leaders to analysts and operational users
  • Develop structured user-engagement programs for operators and analysts using Scale's products
  • Collaborate with customers to translate operational workflows into AI and agentic workflow use cases
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on customer objectives
  • Plan and execute customer engagement weeks, user testing events, demonstrations, briefings, and onsite activities
  • Drive adoption of Scale capabilities in operational environments, incorporating user feedback into product requirements

Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, software engineering, systems engineering, product management, technical consulting, or a related role
  • Ability to build trust with senior executives and operational users
  • Experience translating complex customer workflows into technical or product requirements
  • Strong technical fluency in AI, software systems, data, and agentic workflows
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working in secure facilities and air-gapped government systems
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% for onsite engagements

Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior military or civilian experience in a Combatant Command, Numbered Air Force, Air Operations Center, Joint Intelligence Operations Center, or Intelligence Community agency
  • Experience deploying software into live operational centers or watch floors
  • Familiarity with Joint Planning, intelligence, targeting, integrated air and missile defense, modeling and simulation, or related mission areas

Compensation packages include base salary, equity, and benefits. The salary range for this position in Colorado is $166,400-$249,000 USD.
