The EA SPORTS FC team is a global community of developers, fueled by imagination and a unified passion to grow the love of sports for players worldwide through inspiring visuals and immersive experiences. This team works hybrid 3 days/onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) at EA Vancouver.
As a Development Manager (DM) within the art team, you will report to a Development Director and oversee the delivery of game features and assets on time and within budget. Your responsibilities include:
- Managing a development team consisting of Artists, Software Engineers, and external partners
- Anticipating bottlenecks, providing management escalation, project prioritization, making tradeoffs, balancing needs versus technical constraints, and promoting initial partner deployments
- Focusing on the immediate team, identifying team issues, and suggesting solutions related to execution goals
- Ensuring each project setup meets the specifications of the Studio with regular status reporting and capacity plan updates
- Establishing engagement processes using Jira to ensure all workflows are clearly defined, processes are documented, and staff are trained in expectations
- Partnering with Production, QV, Art Directors to ensure game quality targets are met
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Project Management or Project Lead Experience with production lifecycles, processes, and project planning
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Game Development, or Business
- Experience in a Scrum/Agile software development environment
- Proven track record using Jira and Jaas to manage concurrent projects
- Experience working with expansive teams, mediation, and conflict resolution
- Experience managing Outsource vendors and remote teams is considered an asset
- Experience in feature or asset production is beneficial
Salary: $104,500 - $142,800 CAD
