Martech Engineer

ElevenLabs, an AI research and product company, is seeking a Martech Engineer to own its measurement layer end-to-end. The successful candidate will work closely with the paid marketing team to fix tracking bugs, set up tracking for new landing pages and campaigns, and debug discrepancies between platform-reported conversions and internal data.

Responsibilities

• Own the tag manager setup end-to-end, including the server-side GTM container, and review changes made by other teams
• Collaborate with the paid marketing team daily to resolve tracking issues, implement new tracking for landing pages and campaigns, and investigate discrepancies
• Develop and maintain server-to-server conversion tracking and validate pixel vs server deduplication
• Enhance tracking script performance and accuracy while ensuring page speed and Core Web Vitals are within budget
• Establish event schema and UTM conventions, documenting them for future campaigns
• Create monitoring and alerting systems for the measurement stack to quickly identify broken tracking
• Review PRs adding conversion events to the main app and work with product engineering on tracking integrations

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience in both frontend code and production application codebases
• Hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager, including server-side GTM, and at least one conversion API implemented server-to-server
• Experience in debugging attribution discrepancies end-to-end, including pixel vs server deduplication, UTM conventions, and event schema design
• Solid understanding of web performance and how to add tracking without degrading Core Web Vitals

Nice to Have

• CDP experience (Segment, RudderStack, Snowplow)
• Familiarity with product analytics tools (GA4, Amplitude, PostHog) and dbt
• Next.js experience
• Exposure to incrementality testing or media mix modelling
