Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee production activities on the 2nd shift at our Kansas City facility.

The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring departmental Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Efficiency goals are met.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily, weekly, and monthly activities in the plant, including scheduling and production reporting
• Assist in scheduling production orders and ensure production schedules are met
• Direct manufacturing employees in production activities
• Monitor performance against goals and supervise employees to ensure compliance with Company Safety & Environmental Policies
• Supervise and manage Production Operator training, including Safety Training and Job Skills training
• Work within SAP to maintain accurate inventory and batch tracking
• Manage job floor and warehouse material inventory
• Conduct daily and weekly shift meetings regarding safety and production goals
• Manage basic maintenance of equipment and facility
• Interface closely with the laboratory to ensure maximum efficiency and problem resolution
• Support all company policies regarding safety, quality, housekeeping, inventory management, etc.

Supervisory Responsibility:

• This position will have 3-5 direct reports.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required; college degree in a technical or business field desired
• 5+ years of experience within a batch manufacturing environment required
• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role desired
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• SAP experience desired
