Expanded Learning Program Assistant

KIPP SoCal Public Schools is a nonprofit organization operating 20 tuition-free charter public schools, educating over 10,000 students and supporting 8,300 alumni. The Expanded Learning Program Assistant role involves supporting the Expanded Learning Manager in developing, implementing, and overseeing the Expanded Learning Program for students at 1-2 KIPP SoCal campuses.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Expanded Learning Manager in executing the program vision, mission, and goals
• Designing enrichment opportunities for students
• Developing and managing schedules of academic, recreational, and enrichment activities
• Supervising and ensuring student safety
• Organizing after-school program events and field trips
• Managing day-to-day operations, meal processes, and supply ordering
• Leading the Expanded Learning Program in the manager's absence
• Communicating with school administration, teachers, parents, and stakeholders
• Assisting with part-time team member recruitment and observations
• Maintaining accurate records and adhering to workplace safety guidelines

Requirements and desired characteristics:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience working with school-aged youth
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Excellent computer skills, experience with Google platform a plus
• Adaptability, planning and organization, quality management, initiative, and relationship-building skills

Compensation and perks:

• Full-time, hourly, $24/hour
