Mechanical Design Placement - Martin Audio

We are seeking a placement student for a 12-month Mechanical Design Placement with Martin Audio, based in High Wycombe. The salary is £26,250 per annum.

As a Student Mechanical Design Engineer within the Mechanical Design Team, you will participate in day-to-day activities, including:

• CAD Modelling/Drafting
• Prototyping
• Testing
• Documentation
• Bills of Materials
• Change Management

Your main tasks will involve:

• Working on new design projects and supporting the manufacture of existing products, assigned by the Mechanical Design Manager
• Using Creo Parametric for 3D CAD modelling and 2D drafting software
• Utilising Windchill PLM software for creating and maintaining Bills of Materials and participating in Change Management
• Prototyping project work using in-house 3D printing, CNC routing, and workshop tools
• Testing prototypes to ensure compliance with various standards
• Assisting the Production Engineering team with designing and manufacturing jigs and fixtures

You will be expected to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week, at the company's head office in High Wycombe.
