Quality inspector, Aerospace

We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our rapidly growing team in Morrisville, North Carolina.

The Quality team is responsible for a wide range of activities that are crucial to the manufacturing process, including operating equipment, assembling products, performing quality control checks, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

As a Quality Inspector, you will:

• Visually, manually, and digitally examine products and raw materials to ensure they meet Anduril standards as described by engineering, both internal and external, as well as quality management system (QMS) requirements.
• Measure product dimensions using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and/or metrology to verify they match the design.
• Run tests to identify defects and use machines to test products via Tap testing, manual testing, and NDT/NDI methods.
• Compare products to a model to ensure they meet high standards.
• Report inspection and test data, such as weights, temperatures, and quantities inspected.
• Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
• Remove/Red tag products and materials that don't meet specifications until the issue is resolved.
• Communicate product quality standards to Technicians, leads, and managers.

Required qualifications:

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
• High School graduate or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications:

• 1-3 years of Composite Fabrication or aerospace equivalent experience.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally.
• Polished communication and presentation skills.
• A bias towards action, Quality, and Detail.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Self-autonomy and strong work ethic.
