Description

Electronic Arts is seeking a Software Developer in Testability (SDET) to contribute to ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of next-generation creation technologies.

As an SDET, you will work at the intersection of research and production, collaborating with developers and researchers to implement robust testability systems for large-scale automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement testing strategies and quality practices for emerging systems and technologies.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Develop comprehensive and automated tests for APIs, integrations, and complex systems.
  • Integrate automated testing with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) systems.
  • Collaborate with developers and researchers to ensure testing of new systems from early design stages.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues affecting distributed systems, tools, and execution environments.
  • Establish metrics, dashboards, and reporting to monitor system quality and status.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote quality and reliability engineering practices.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to promoting excellence in quality engineering.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or SDET with AAA game engines like Frostbite, Unreal, Unity, or similar technologies.
  • At least 5 years of programming experience with languages like Python, TypeScript, or C++.
  • Expertise in using coding agents from large codebases.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows.
  • Experience with debugging complex systems and analyzing production issues.
  • Familiarity with observability tools (logging, metrics, alerts).
  • Understanding of game engines, content processing pipelines, or developer tools.
  • Experience with emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, or procedural systems.
