Description
As a SOC Consultant at KPN Security, you will work in a multidisciplinary team to strengthen the cyber resilience of clients. You will monitor, detect, and analyze security incidents, and provide actionable insights to improve clients' security posture.
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on cyber risks, threat landscape, and monitoring strategy
- Translate SOC alerts and detection results into risk and impact analyses
- Guide clients in setting up, maintaining, and optimizing log sources
- Prepare reports, advisory documents, and improvement plans
- Conduct operational and tactical client meetings
- Perform supporting threat research and open-source investigations
- Support clients and internal teams during security incidents and escalations
- Identify improvements in detections, use cases, and monitoring coverage
- Collaborate with analysts, threat hunters, detection engineers, and account teams
- Contribute to the development and optimization of SOC services
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC services, or security consultancy
- Experience with security monitoring, incident analysis, and SIEM platforms
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, threat intelligence, detection processes, and modern attack techniques
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
- Proficiency in Dutch and English
