Description
In 1983, a demo showed synthesizers from different companies communicating with each other. This was the first public display of MIDI, allowing electronic instruments to talk to each other. At Mercury, we focus on technology that lets people create more. We're looking for a Marketing Technology Lead to build and maintain the connections that power our Growth Marketing team's work.
You'll report to our Head of Growth Marketing in a hands-on individual contributor role, working closely with Performance Marketing, Lifecycle, SEO, Data, and Engineering. You'll own marketing integrations and platform infrastructure, including implementation, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
Our Data team manages the shared customer-data foundation, attribution methodology, and analytical models. Growth Engineering builds and maintains our GTM orchestration layer. You'll partner with those teams to make their systems work effectively in marketing.
As a Marketing Technology Lead, you'll:
- Own the marketing technology roadmap with Growth Marketing leaders, prioritizing work that improves data reliability, customer experience, and the team's ability to launch and learn.
- Build and maintain marketing data pipelines using Segment and Polytomic.
- Own GA4 administration and ongoing improvements, including event configuration, custom dimensions, platform connections, and reporting setup.
- Build and maintain marketing tracking and advertising conversion integrations.
- Partner with Data to implement agreed measurement definitions and attribution settings across marketing platforms.
- Build, test, deploy, and maintain marketing integrations and advanced automations using APIs, integration tools, and custom code.
- Maintain website forms, marketing tags, and experimentation tools.
- Monitor marketing integrations and resolve failures.
- Keep marketing platforms well maintained through thoughtful configuration, access management, vendor coordination, and documentation.
For success in this role, you'll likely have:
- Experience owning marketing technology or related systems.
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience building integrations with APIs, webhooks, and cloud data warehouses.
- Hands-on experience administering GA4 and maintaining advertising conversion integrations.
- A track record of operating systems after launch.
- Clear communication and sound judgment.
