Senior Software Developer - Network Applications

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our network applications team. As a senior developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain network applications. You will contribute to the development of large-scale multiplayer games and collaborate with researchers to integrate emerging technologies into our game engine.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and evolve the low-level network layer of our game engine
• Design, implement, and instrument network features to support large-scale multiplayer gaming
• Collaborate with engine developers to ensure seamless integration of game features and systems with multiplayer capabilities
• Define coding standards and best practices for multiplayer-ready code
• Contribute to various aspects of the game engine, including tools, data processing pipelines, and execution systems

Requirements:

• At least 7 years of professional experience with AAA game engines (such as Frostbite, Unity, Unreal, Godot, or proprietary engines)
• Proficiency in C++ programming language
• Experience with implementing network features for games
• Strong understanding of at least one domain of game engine development (e.g., gameplay, simulation, systems, content processing pipelines, performance-critical systems)
• Ability to navigate complex codebases and become productive quickly with various tools and systems
• Experience working with researchers to translate applied research into production-ready features
• Familiarity with IC/DC tools such as Jenkins and GitLab
