Description

We are seeking a Test Technician to join our Product Development team, which uses design thinking and user experience methods to deliver breakthrough products and services. As a Test Lab Technician, you will support Calibration, Development, Durability, and Emissions testing of engines, powertrains, and vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and support test equipment to conduct vehicle, engine, or powertrain testing.
  • Use mechanical and hand tools to install, remove, and maintain test articles, samples, and supporting systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting, minor repairs, and maintenance on test equipment and vehicles/engines.
  • Monitor tests, record data, and report results while following all safety protocols.
  • Perform site readiness checks and report failures.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of automotive/engine systems – gasoline, diesel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical aptitude, ability to use diagnostic and hand/pneumatic tools.
  • Experience testing engines, powertrains, or vehicles in a lab or dynamometer environment.
  • Associate degree in automotive technology or equivalent.
  • Motivated, self-starter, proven reliability.
  • Proven ability to participate and collaborate in a Team environment.
  • Understand and operate multiple computer systems controlling the operation and data acquisition systems in real time.

Salary: The salary range for this position is:

  • Salary grade 4: $56,400-$94,900
  • Salary grade 5: $65,100-$109,300
  • Salary grade 6: $74,300-$124,500
