Senior Business Analyst

Job Purpose

As a Senior Business Analyst at Valvoline Global Operations, you will develop analysis and insights to drive performance and execution for assigned business. You will build a sustainable platform and processes for the business to deliver actionable insights that drive continuous improvement and enhance decision making.

How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)

• Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly insights and analysis on business performance for assigned business, owning understanding of the P&L, providing insights on key drivers impacting profitability, and developing information/tools for management in key business decisions.
• Interact directly with business unit leadership teams to analyze and improve performance, and work with leadership on establishing strategic goals and providing status on performance toward those goals.
• Identify root causes and work with support teams to drive resolution of P&L issues, effectively communicating the issue, resolution, and impact to sales management.
• Lead analysis, analytics, and ad-hoc requests for the IC sales team, providing key insights to drive decision making.
• Collaborate with the data analytics team to provide tools and metrics around KPIs to report to the sales organization, including dashboard development and maintenance and daily/weekly/monthly reports.

What You Bring to the Role (Job Qualifications / Education / Skills / Requirements / Capabilities)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Data management and analysis skills, merging several data sources, identifying trends, and key drivers (Excel, Data Visualization tools, SAP, Reporting tools).
• Experience using Power Query is preferred/required.
• Strong financial and analytic experience, with the ability to analyze information and provide recommendations based on facts, analysis, and experience.
• Ability to work in the office full-time (Lexington, KY HQ).
