Senior Backend Engineer, Architecture Engineering: Nonlinear Productivity

• Identifying sources of friction and developing agentic solutions
• Designing and building reliable AI-powered systems
• Creating evaluation tools for agent output
• Working across GitLab's codebase
• Applying distributed systems judgment

Requirements:

• Experience with agentic or large language model-based systems
• Autonomy in unfamiliar codebases
• Strong distributed systems knowledge
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, or Python
