Description
Diageo is seeking a Market Category Manager – Supply (Australia) to play a key role in shaping and delivering Diageo Australia's logistics procurement strategy.
The successful candidate will work within the APAC Supply Procurement team, partnering closely with the Australia Supply Leadership Team and MOVE to translate regional category strategies into market impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the execution of the Australia Logistics category strategy
- Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and suppliers
- Driving sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance
- Leading supplier governance and performance reviews
- Partnering with Supply Leadership to identify difficulties and simplify ways of working
- Driving sustainability and responsible sourcing initiatives with suppliers
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years' experience in Procurement, Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or a similar commercial role
- Proven experience developing and accomplishing category strategies, sourcing initiatives, and supplier performance programs
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Demonstrated experience negotiating with and influencing suppliers
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Highly analytical, organised, and resilient
