Seed Technician

As a Seed Production Technician, you will operate machinery and equipment for production processes, manage our production grower network, and ensure production processes happen safely, effectively, and with quality.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate equipment and execute tasks to enable seed production processes.
• Lead and engage in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings.
• Mentor and train new employees, seasonal workforce, area trainees, and peers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Troubleshoot problems associated with equipment, processes, and systems.
• Apply operational excellence practices to operations (5S, Lean, Six Sigma, 5WHYs).
• Perform Site Responsible Researcher (SRR) duties.
• Ensure upstream activities are handled within company standards and business requirements.
• Collaborate with key partners to deliver the business across plant and field operations.
• Comply with internal procedures and support legal compliance related to area activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to Bayer's Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards.

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.
• Ability to work days, nights, rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as business needs require.

We offer a salary between $25.69-$32.28 per hour, plus additional compensation, health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, and more.
