Description
We are seeking an experienced inpatient Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Hospitalist team at Intermountain Bear River Valley Hospital in Tremonton, Utah. The successful candidate will be board certified as either a physician assistant or nurse practitioner. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care and outcomes for both pediatric and adult patients.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history and physical examinations
- Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions, including initiating appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
- Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Utah
- Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (FNP), or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- DEA Certificate II through V
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient APP experience, preferably in a hospitalist or critical care setting
- Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
