Procurement Sourcing Principal Specialist

We are seeking a Procurement Sourcing Principal Specialist to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Raymond, Ohio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of commodity part and supplier strategies, identifying top cost and complexity issues, and prioritizing areas for improvement.

Key accountabilities include:

• Leading and developing specialized areas to create and implement commodity part and supplier strategies
• Researching and monitoring industry trends to inform Model and Supplier Strategies
• Establishing and correlating with design on logical cost targets and maker layout proposals
• Leading and managing specialized areas to meet KCP, Business Plan achievement, project requirements, and new model targets
• Developing and leading supplier relationships
• Developing, leading, and implementing cost reduction strategies for specialized areas

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Business/Purchasing or a related field
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Purchasing, Sales, Quality Control, or Engineering
• Strong project management experience managing complex and detailed issues
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Gap analysis and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to develop and present cost reports and work in cross-functional teams to build consensus
• Catia knowledge and organization skills
