HVAC Supervisor (Chilled Water Systems)

SpaceXAI is seeking a supervisor for its facilities operations team to help design, build, activate, and maintain technically advanced facilities.

About the Role:

As a supervisor on the facilities operations team, you will help design, build, activate, and maintain some of the world's most technically advanced facilities. You will operate with autonomy to solve diverse and complex problems, excel at managing multiple projects at a time, and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Facilities Supervisor is an important role and directly impacts the foundation of the Southaven and Memphis sites.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team responsible for performing inspections, testing, maintenance, and repair of campus-wide systems, including mechanical/HVAC, electrical, compressed air, dust collectors, plumbing tasks, and other preventative maintenance and repair programs.
• Lead and direct a team of plumbing, compressed air, electrical, and HVAC-focused facility technicians.
• Schedule daily work and prioritize assignments.
• Develop, plan, and execute site improvement projects in accordance with overall business objectives and strategy.
• Understand and enforce all safety procedures, report unsafe acts and conditions, and halt work when conditions are considered unsafe.
• Maintain appropriate records for all trades as required.
• Understand mechanical equipment such as chilled water systems, boilers, VFDs, pumps, PLCs, condensers, split systems, air compressors, and dust collectors.
• Communicate with Manager on daily activities, projects, team morale, and concerning issues.
• Manage vendor/contractor finances and work with SpaceXAI buyers and accounts payable.
• Oversee team performance and drive effectiveness through individual coaching and development.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years of experience with facilities management.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of building management and automated facilities monitoring systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience managing budgets and third-party vendors.
• Experience negotiating contracts and comparing service costs.
• Experience with asset management software.
• High attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently with little direction.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to anticipate needs and develop innovative solutions.
