Press Operator

We are seeking a Press Operator to join our team at Multimatic. You will be responsible for operating a press according to schedule and following QDC procedure steps as per PRO61-10 and PRO62-10.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the press operates according to schedule
• Conduct regular checks while the press is running
• Complete daily production sheets and other required paperwork in a timely manner
• Check and change heat code and date stamp as required
• Pull dies/stamps when jobs are complete or as required
• Accurately tag bins
• Perform regular safety checks on presses
• Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts
• Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent work experience
• Mechanical aptitude is necessary
• Ability to load coils from coil cars to feeders
• Ability to start new coils through dies
• Ability to participate in all aspects of quick die changes
• Ability to use SmartPac and Spectrum Systems
• Ability to remove old coils/strips from dies
• Ability to interact with employees at all levels in a multicultural and fast-paced environment

The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be: $20.50 - $30.59 per hour.
