Forward Deployed Software Engineer - US Government

Palantir Technologies is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer - US Government. As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (FDSE), you will understand our customers' greatest pain points and design end-to-end solutions to address them. You will deploy groundbreaking technical solutions to solve our customers' hardest problems, working with customers around the globe to gain rare insight into the world's most important industries and institutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design end-to-end solutions to address customer pain points
• Deploy groundbreaking technical solutions to solve customer problems
• Work with customers to gain insight into industries and institutions
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve products over time

Technologies:

• Core Palantir products
• Custom applications built on top of core Palantir platforms
• Postgres, Cassandra, Hadoop, and Spark for distributed data storage and parallel computing
• Java and Groovy for back-end applications and data integration tools
• Typescript, React, Leaflet, and d3 for web technologies
• Python for data processing and analysis
• Palantir cloud infrastructure based on AWS EC2 and S3

Requirements:

• Active US Security Clearance at or above the Top Secret level
• Strong engineering background, preferred in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics
• Experience with logistics, materiel, sustainment, aviation, or readiness analysis is a plus
• Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools

Salary: $135,000 - $200,000/year
