Automotive Parts Inspector (Painted Panels)

Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is seeking an Automotive Parts Inspector (Painted Panels) to inspect painted automotive panels and components to ensure they meet established quality standards.

The successful candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a thorough understanding of automotive paint quality requirements, and the ability to consistently identify defects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Inspect painted automotive panels, body components, and assemblies for conformity to established quality standards and specifications.
• Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections as required.
• Identify non-conforming parts and ensure they are properly identified, segregated, and controlled in accordance with company procedures.
• Accurately document inspection results and non-conformances.
• Assist in investigating the root causes of paint-related quality issues and participate in corrective and preventive action activities as required.
• Ensure inspection activities are performed in accordance with applicable Quality Management System procedures.
• Work closely with Paint Shop, Production, Engineering, and Quality personnel to identify and resolve paint quality issues.
• Provide feedback to production personnel regarding identified defects and quality requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing paint defects and improving first-time quality.
• Participate in quality audits and layered process audits as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inspection area in accordance with company policies and 5S principles.
• Perform other duties and quality-related activities as assigned by the QA Manager.

Education & Experience

• Previous experience in automotive manufacturing, paint inspection, quality inspection, or a related manufacturing environment is required.
• Post-secondary education in Quality Assurance, Automotive Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, or a related field is an asset.
• Experience working with automotive paint, body panels, surface finishing, or appearance-quality inspection is preferred.
• Experience in a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment or working to OEM customer standards is considered an asset.
• Ability to interpret work instructions, inspection standards, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Basic understanding of quality systems, non-conformance processes, containment, and corrective action.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for recording and tracking inspection data is an asset.
• Experience using Jira is an asset.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong visual inspection and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to make consistent, objective quality decisions based on established standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage changing priorities.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

The total cash compensation range for this position is expected to be: $21.14 - $34.09
