Description
We are seeking a Production Control Senior Specialist to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Lincoln, Alabama. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling and planning production related to FRM, PT, Service or In-house lines to meet the overall company Seihan Strategy.
The Production Control Senior Specialist will evaluate the overall plan and assess and create optimal production plans that support both I/H departments and supply chain departments. They will also be responsible for setting model rotations, assigning new models, and engaging with internal departments and external customers to confirm line setting meets customer needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating, creating, managing, and training certain associates on daily, weekly, and monthly schedules in appropriate software
- Creating midterm and Ki schedules through evaluation of optimal planning
- Training and guiding Production Planner A associates
- Managing and leading key unit projects and themes, as well as evaluating Planner A inputs into projects
- Communicating production volumes and model mix strategies to internal and external parties
- Negotiating optimal schedules with In-house departments to meet service sales needs
- Providing new model trial event management as assigned
- Managing invoicing and inventory balances
- Scheduling and coordinating production weekend activity for the plant
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, and 2-6 years of work experience based on education. They should be organized, proficient in Microsoft software, detail-oriented, and have problem-solving skills.
