Description
General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Guard II to support the Flight School Training Support Services (FSTSS) program at the Aviation Center of Excellence (AVCOE) in Daleville, Alabama.
As a Guard II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of the facilities and personnel. You will be responsible for enforcing regulations and procedures, exercising judgment and discretion in responding to incidents and emergencies, and maintaining control of situations.
Responsibilities:
- Enforce regulations and procedures designed to prevent breaches of security
- Exercise judgment and use discretion in responding to incidents and emergencies
- Maintain control of situation and/or monitor surveillance
- Escalate any incident or situation to the appropriate authority for handling as needed
- Respond to alarms and notify appropriate personnel
- Assist customers and students with scheduling and verification of times of training
- Write daily reports and activity logs
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of related experience
- Basic computer skills
- Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one
- Specialized training in methods and techniques of protecting controlled areas
- Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in writing and verbally
- Focused customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment
- General computer skills
- Understand and apply regulations applying to functional area
- Ability to walk and respond to emergencies in a timely manner
