Motion Design Lead

Vox Media is looking for a Motion Design Lead to conceptualize and execute motion designs across platforms to create industry-leading branded content for New York Magazine and Vox.

The Motion Design Lead will be responsible for:

• Conceptualizing and executing motion designs across platforms
• Providing motion design leadership and creative direction
• Partnering with Art and Creative directors to evolve the vision for motion design
• Designing and executing motion for advertising clients and internal projects
• Leading and managing freelance motion designers
• Developing and maintaining brand guidelines for motion and animation

The ideal candidate will have:

• 8+ years of relevant industry experience in motion design
• Leadership experience guiding teams or freelancers
• Fluency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma
• Strong storytelling and visual thinking skills
• Collaborative approach to leadership

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with an initial six-month term, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business need. The salary range for this position is $110,000-$125,000 USD.
