Growth Lead, Japan

We are seeking a Growth Lead to shape and execute ChatGPT's growth plans in Japan. The successful candidate will partner with the Japan General Manager to understand local users, identify growth opportunities, and develop product improvements, funnel optimizations, and performance marketing tests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Japan GM to set country growth plan and roadmap priorities
• Use user research, funnel and cohort data, and competitive insight to find local friction and prioritize opportunities
• Run performance marketing tests and experiments across onboarding, activation, and retention
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, Partnerships, and Marketing
• Own the country growth scorecard and measure incremental user and revenue gains

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in product growth, growth marketing, data science, or growth strategy and operations
• User-first approach with a track record of turning local research into product and growth priorities
• Strong command of acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization funnels
• Practical performance marketing experience and analytical fluency in cohort analysis and growth economics
• Experience adapting and running campaigns across markets and influencing central and regional teams
