Director, Manufacturing (China) | 制造总监 (中国)

Greenlight is seeking a Director, Manufacturing to be its first team member in China. The successful candidate will own ODM relationships end-to-end, from day-to-day build execution and quality gates to sourcing partners.

Responsibilities:

• Be Greenlight's on-site presence at contract manufacturers during builds, line walks, and production ramps
• Lead manufacturing readiness for new products
• Own quality gates: outgoing inspection, pre-shipment sign-off, and hold-and-release decisions
• Manage change control and ensure nothing changes in the product without a documented quality review
• Hold ODMs to quality and reporting commitments
• Manage third-party inspection partners
• Lead nonconformance investigations
• Turn returns and warehouse defect data into supplier scorecards
• Source the next generation of partners
• Ensure production evidence backs the certifications the products carry
• Translate between US engineering intent and factory concerns

Requirements:

• 7+ years in supplier quality, sourcing, or manufacturing operations for consumer electronics or connected devices
• Experience owning quality and sourcing
• Hands-on NPI experience
• Working command of quality tools
• Deep process knowledge in at least one area
• Fluency in Mandarin and strong written and spoken business English
• Willing to travel to the Greater Shenzhen Bay Area and excited about frequent travel to supplier sites
