Description
Visa's Mobile & Mac Security (MMS) team is seeking a talented Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team in Austin, TX. The engineer will ensure the highest security standards for Visa's Mobile and Mac consumer and corporate products and services.
The ideal candidate will have experience with AI technologies, protocols, and tooling, as well as mobile application and platform security concepts. They will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting internal cybersecurity tools, performing ethical penetration testing, and identifying weaknesses in Visa's existing security posture.
Responsibilities:
- Create mobile security guidelines, requirements, and standards for mobile product development
- Use AI to create, enhance, optimize, and implement processes related to the team and BAU
- Implement solutions within internal cloud platforms
- Analyze security gaps in mobile technologies and frameworks
- Develop tools and frameworks for advanced mobile security assurance and ethical hacking activities
- Research mobile platform releases, capabilities, and functionalities to understand and establish mobile security standards
- Define, implement, and scale consistent mobile security practices for all Visa technology projects
- Integrate architectural risk assessment and threat modeling into Software Development Lifecycle
- Ensure end-to-end security of Visa products
- Improve secure coding practices, application security requirements, automation, training, and metrics
- Build strong cross-organizational relationships and influence staff across the IT organization
- Collaborate with product development and solution teams to manage software security risk
- Define a simplified security metrics approach
- Collaborate with internal and third-party application development teams to define an enterprise set of 'reasonable' security controls
- Build secure products and standards around emerging technologies
- Develop and optimize processes to improve software development efficiency
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong experience with one or more programming languages: Node, Python, Java, Swift
- Understanding of AI technologies, protocols, and main AI-dev related tooling
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and CWE 25
- Basics of mobile application and platform security concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree
- Professional experience in a Cybersecurity-related field
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
- Excellent penetration testing, application risk assessment, and risk categorization skills
- Deep understanding of web applications common architectures, development frameworks, and web protocols
