Strategic Business Performance, Central Strategy & Operations

Stripe is looking for a senior product strategist-operator to join the Strategic Business Performance (SBP) team. SBP is a small, high-leverage group within Central Strategy & Operations at Stripe.

The successful candidate will work cross-functionally within the group and across Stripe's technical and user-facing teams to solve problems and design workflows that benefit users.

Responsibilities:

• Own the "Signal": Define and maintain key performance metrics and develop a curated view of the business that drives immediate action.
• Deep-Dive Interventions: Lead surge projects to diagnose and unblock critical goals at risk.
• Bridge Product & Strategy: Translate long-horizon corporate theses into in-year operational reality.
• Synthesize for Leadership: Prepare CEO/COO-level materials that translate unstructured signals into structured diagnoses.
• Pressure-test Assumptions: Work with Corporate Strategy and Product teams to identify gaps between external market forces and internal execution.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience in product/data analytics within product organisations or strategic business performance teams at high-growth tech companies.
• Experience in Product Strategy, Product Management, or GM-style roles where you owned a P&L or specific business outcome.
• Deeply curious about business models and data, probing into signals, understanding trends and customer usage patterns.
• Proven track record of directly driving business growth through analytical insights and execution.
• Apply AI to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Strong product sense and ability to understand technical mechanics of software products.
• Experience navigating ambiguous, cross-functional problems and leading high-stakes interventions with senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Payments ecosystem or experience in finance/fintech.
• Ability to build trust and partner with senior leaders and CXOs.
• Technical proficiency in SQL/Python/R and data analysis.
