Description
The Associate Medical Manager is required to support the business in Hong Kong by providing medical and technical support for products in defined therapeutic areas.
This position helps to identify medical gaps and deliver excellent engagement skills to explore medical needs, turning them into business strategies and messaging.
The Associate Medical Manager contributes to providing high-standard medical support in managing medical programs and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) engagement, requiring strategic thinking to translate medical activities into impactful outcomes.
The role involves proactive delivery of medical and scientific advice to support global and local business goals, ensuring adherence to high standards of conduct in dealings with the medical profession and consumers.
Key Accountability
Medical Affairs
- Develop strategic medical plans for assigned products
- Provide medical/scientific support for clinical development, KOL management, Market Access, and commercial activities
- Provide scientific communication to key stakeholders in the country/MCO
- Review medical appropriateness of investigator-sponsored research projects and health outcome proposals
- Preview promotional materials, research reports, and publications when required
- Provide medical support, including product training to Sales & Marketing teams
- Provide medical/scientific and strategic input as a core member of the assigned Brand team
- Identify and discuss product positioning and key strategies with the brand team
- Contribute to developing an optimal customer service strategy
- Provide ad hoc medical support and training for assigned products
- Develop lasting strategic relationships/partnerships with opinion leaders
- Attend relevant external medical conferences
Requirements
Education
- Medical or doctor degree preferred, Master of Science diploma major in Pharmacy, pharmacology, nursing, or other healthcare-related fields required
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum 3 years of successful Medical experience in a branded company, or minimum 3 years of successful sales/marketing experience with a branded company plus a master's degree in pharmacy/pharmacology/business administration
- Familiarity with clinical trial-related practices and regulations
- Familiarity with the healthcare system, including patient education and support
- Good administration, strategic thinking, and planning abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with product and market-related knowledge
- Good presentation skills
