Make a difference in the lives of military Service Members and their families with your expertise in counselling and behavioural health as a Military and Family Life Counsellor (MFLC).
Leidos seeks licensed mental healthcare providers for a flexible, part-time role providing counselling services to safeguard and enhance mental well-being.
As an MFLC, you will provide preventative counselling services, addressing issues before they become major challenges. You may support adults or minors in various settings, including military units, families, or schools.
Mission Ready Reserve (MRR) Model: The MRR model allows you to focus on counselling without administrative burdens. As a Mission Ready Reserve MFLC, you will be trained and available to serve when called upon.

Responsibilities:
- Provide face-to-face counselling to military service members and their families
- Recommend referrals and handoffs based on your clinical skills
- Offer presentations on social skills development and social emotional learning
- Build rapport with service members, spouses, and children by attending installation and community events
- Help families and children with challenges particular to the military community
Environment:
- Duties performed in multiple indoor and outdoor locations (approximately 60% indoor, 40% outdoor)
- Indoor locations include military installations, schools, or child development centres
- Outdoor locations involve traversing uneven terrain, ascending/descending stairs, and exposure to weather
Requirements:
- Master's degree or higher in Behavioural Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD)
- Valid independent licence in mental health field from any US state or territory (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist)
- U.S. citizen
- Pass a basic background check and Public Trust clearance
