Consultant Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist. This role involves providing support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, utilising skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing, and operational support activities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle
• End to end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs
• Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service’s direction
• Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data
• Create technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality
• Provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change
• Working with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues are identified and addressed
• Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service
• Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered
• Responsible for automating the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team
• Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations

Requirements:

• Extensive IT software engineering experience in software development with Agile methodologies
• Experience with frontend and testing is an advantage
• Proficient knowledge in GCP and Ali Cloud is essential
• Knowledge of hands-on engineering capabilities in state-of-the-art technologies
• In-depth knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code tools
• Proficient in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Solid grasp of software engineering principles, including scalable design patterns, security, and performance optimization
• Strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent team player with the ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills, capable of working in a fast-paced, globally distributed team environment
• Experience in leading a team, conducting code reviews, and test case reviews
• Ability to rapidly build and set up PoC environments with Cloud, Container, etc.
• Proficiency in at least two programming languages, such as Java, Python, Golang, or Node.js
