Physical Therapist

We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team at Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center - Inpatient Rehabilitation.

As a Physical Therapist, you will provide patient care assessment and treatment, ensuring comprehensive and functional evaluations, and developing treatment plans with realistic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to hospital standards and policies, promoting a cooperative work environment
• Provide patient care, assessments, and treatment, supervising support staff as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation, completing patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge notes
• Meet department financial and productivity standards, adjusting schedules as needed
• Participate in process management, identifying quality and operational opportunities
• Promote professional development and education of other healthcare workers
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers
• Provide age/developmentally specific patient care, demonstrating knowledge and skills

Requirements:

• B.S., M.S., or D.P.T degree from an accredited physical therapy school
• Current licensure in the state of practice and CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C
• Previous hospital experience preferred

Work Environment:

• Subject to stress conditions, moderate noise environment, and frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens
• Occasional conditions with high moisture content, contact with patients under various circumstances
• May make home visits, with exposure to unpleasant patient elements and body fluids

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs maximum
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, and talking
• Good hearing and seeing abilities
