Substitute Teacher

We are seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide day-to-day teaching coverage for the 2026-27 school year. As a Substitute Teacher at High Tech High, you will be responsible for preparing lesson plans, educating students, assigning homework, grading tests, and documenting progress.

The ideal candidate will embody High Tech High's design principles of Equity, Personalization, Authentic Work, and Collaborative Design. You will create daily lesson plans with project-based assignments, plan and deliver instructional activities, and incorporate goals, competencies, and objectives into lesson plans.

Responsibilities:

• Create daily lesson plans with project-based assignments
• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities
• Incorporate goals, competencies, and objectives into lesson plans
• Grade assignments and homework regularly
• Identify students who are struggling and find them the resources they need

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• A valid California K-12 teaching credential
• Ability to efficiently manage time and work with professionalism
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional administrative and organization skills
• Proficient knowledge of teaching strategies and methods

This is an hourly position with a salary range of $24.16 per hour, and does not include benefits.
