We are seeking a Tax Specialist / Financial Accountant to join our team at Vattenfall Next Energy Solutions GmbH in Recklinghausen. As part of the Vattenfall group, we are committed to providing sustainable energy solutions to our customers.
Your role will involve combining operational financial accounting, technical responsibility, and active process design. You will work closely with various departments and contribute significantly to the development of our financial system.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily financial accounting, including accounts receivable, payable, assets, and bank transactions
- Oversee debt collection and payment processing
- Prepare and create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB and ideally IFRS
- Ensure accurate accounting of assets, liabilities, equity, and prepaid expenses
- Create cost and performance calculations, evaluations, and analyses
- Support tax-related queries, such as income tax, corporate tax, and value-added tax
- Utilize and develop our ERP systems, as well as securely use DATEV and MS Excel for reports and decision-making
- Contribute to financial and liquidity planning, risk assessment, and business analyses
Qualifications:
- Completed training as a tax specialist, financial accountant, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in financial accounting, accounting, or taxation, ideally in the craft sector
- Sound knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting principles
- Proficient use of DATEV, MS Excel, and ideally at least one ERP system
- High numerical affinity, structured working style, and analytical understanding
- Strong interest in commercial processes, digitalisation, and continuous improvement
- Team-oriented, hands-on mentality, and sense of responsibility
- Fluent in German; additional languages are welcome
