Compensation

The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

You will receive a salary of $234K – $325K, plus generous equity, performance-related bonus(es) for eligible employees, and the following benefits:

About the Role

OpenAI's Applications organization spans rapidly growing Consumer, Enterprise, Developer, and Hardware businesses. As we scale across EMEA, APAC, and LATAM, we're building the financial and operating model that will help our regional teams make faster, better decisions.

You will serve as a trusted advisor to regional GMs, connecting market strategy with business performance and guiding where and how we invest. By bringing together insights across growth, revenue, OpEx, headcount, and marketing effectiveness, you'll help leaders understand market health, set priorities, and drive measurable outcomes.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Owning an integrated view of OpenAI's international performance,spanning countries, regions, and Consumer, Enterprise/API, and Developer businesses,to guide growth, resource allocation, and investment decisions.
  • Partnering with regional GMs and functional leaders to shape country strategies spanning Product, Sales, Growth and Brand Marketing, Partnerships, Communications, and Policy.
  • Leading regional financial planning and forecasting, tracking budgets, headcount, capacity, investments, and risks against the company plan.
  • Building and operationalizing investment frameworks across markets, channels, and programs, evaluating expected returns, opportunity costs, and tradeoffs to recommend what to fund and when.
  • Creating regional and country scorecards and leading regular business reviews that track key metrics, surface risks, drive decisions, and ensure follow-through.
  • Designing decision rights and escalation paths across a cross-functional, matrixed organization so regional leaders can move quickly and major cross-market decisions receive appropriate review.
  • Partnering with Marketing, Growth, and Data Science to strengthen acquisition and retention measurement and translate results into executive-ready recommendations.
  • Building scalable, AI-enabled workflows that improve reporting, forecasting, and investment evaluation across regions.

Requirements

You might thrive in this role if you have:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience across Strategic Finance, investment banking, consulting, private equity, or related operating roles.
  • 2+ years of Strategic Finance experience at a high-growth technology company, including meaningful partnership with international, Marketing, Growth, or GTM teams.
  • Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills, with experience managing complex budgets and translating market economics, investment tradeoffs, and performance data into decisions.
  • A track record of serving as a trusted thought partner to executives and cross-functional leaders.
  • Fluency across Consumer and B2B business models, international market dynamics, and Growth, Brand, or go-to-market investment.
  • Experience designing planning processes, operating cadences, scorecards, or investment frameworks that create clear ownership and produce measurable business outcomes.
  • High agency, sound judgment, and comfort building structure in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
  • Enthusiasm for AI and experience partnering with Data Science; SQL familiarity is a plus.
