Senior Software Engineer – Car Services and Industrial Operations

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Car Services and Industrial Operations to join our team at our headquarters in Gothenburg.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will transform the Car Services and Industrial Operations area's digital vision into working solutions by building and maintaining digital products, platforms, and services.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software for digital products and services
• Ensure code follows Polestar's coding practices and industry standards
• Write unit and integration tests, and develop automated tests where applicable
• Challenge ideas and opinions to avoid pitfalls and inefficient solutions
• Maintain close collaboration with Architecture & Analytics to ensure that the latest guidelines and guardrails are followed when developing digital products, platforms, and services

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of programming and engineering principles
• Experience building global, high-performance, and scalable solutions
• Ability to write effective unit, integration, and other automated tests
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working as a developer in a cross-functional agile team is preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process and analyze information
• Experience in system design using the following technology stack: Node.js / TypeScript, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, Amazon EventBridge, DynamoDB, React / Remix, Athena SQL
• Experience using version control systems such as GitHub
• More than 8 years of relevant professional experience
