Description
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer to join the Chips System Software team. The successful candidate will architect and develop boot firmware for flagship CPUs used in high-compute platforms for automotive, datacenter, and other critical applications.
The role involves:
- Building robust features for core boot firmware based on protective and security guidelines
- Defining, decomposing, and verifying functional/safety requirements and architecture
- Performing failure analysis (FMEA/DFA) on Bootloader functionality and architecture
- Collaborating with internal and external teams to develop partnerships
- Validating and verifying features on pre-silicon simulation platforms prior to tapeout
- Silicon verification, feature development, and post-silicon support and productization
Requirements include:
- BS or MS degree in EE/CS/CE or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant proven experience
- Experience in embedded software development, specifically in areas of ARM technologies and programming
- Strong proficiency in C and Python programming and debugging skills
- Detailed and extensive experience with Linux kernel software
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with AI tools such as Codex
- Proficiency in continuous refinement
- Out-of-the-box thinking
- Ability to articulate thoughts succinctly
