Senior System Software Engineer - CPU SoC Boot Firmware

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer to join the Chips System Software team. The successful candidate will architect and develop boot firmware for flagship CPUs used in high-compute platforms for automotive, datacenter, and other critical applications.

The role involves:

• Building robust features for core boot firmware based on protective and security guidelines
• Defining, decomposing, and verifying functional/safety requirements and architecture
• Performing failure analysis (FMEA/DFA) on Bootloader functionality and architecture
• Collaborating with internal and external teams to develop partnerships
• Validating and verifying features on pre-silicon simulation platforms prior to tapeout
• Silicon verification, feature development, and post-silicon support and productization

Requirements include:

• BS or MS degree in EE/CS/CE or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of relevant proven experience
• Experience in embedded software development, specifically in areas of ARM technologies and programming
• Strong proficiency in C and Python programming and debugging skills
• Detailed and extensive experience with Linux kernel software
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with AI tools such as Codex
• Proficiency in continuous refinement
• Out-of-the-box thinking
• Ability to articulate thoughts succinctly
